Kortney Williams
Kortney Shane Williams, is a Stand-Up Comedian and Writer
He was born in Cleveland Ohio, and grew up in a suburb right outside of Tampa, Florida. At the ripe age of 20, during his second year of college, Kortney Shane Williams began performing in Comedy Clubs throughout Florida. In the fall of 2006 he won Florida’s 2006 Clash of the Comics Comedy Competition. He followed that up by releasing his debut CD entitled, “I Don’t Really Care…” In 2007 Kortney began performing nationwide. Later that year he would move to Seattle Washington, and begin honing his skills in the great northwest.
During this time Kortney continued to make a name for himself in the comedy industry. He was a Finalist in Comedy Central’s “So you think you’re funny” competition in 2007 and 2008. In November of 2008 he was a Semi-Finalist in The Seattle International Comedy Competition, and in October of 2009 he finished 6th in The San Francisco International Comedy Competition.
In the winter of 2011 Kortney changed residence again, and moved to New York City. Currently he hosts his own podcast, and writes a comedic sports blog entitled “The Kortney Shane Pillar”. In the summer of 2011 he released his third CD entitled, “I’m Right About This” which is available on itunes and amazon.
